I took this photo while passing through Piazza Duomo, Florence. It was a view that I walked past many, many times while living in Florence. I couldn’t help but to always take a photo every single time I passed by, rain or shine. Even after three years, I think it’s just spectacular. Regardless of what direction I was coming from, I knew exactly what to expect when I turned a corner into Piazza Duomo. But every single time, it took my breathe away. Tourists passing by, seeing me with glistening eyes probably thought it was my first time to see it. When in fact, it was a part of my almost daily route through the city.

To me, this photo reminds me to never take for granted where I am or what I am doing, no matter where I am or however mundane whatever it is that I may be doing.
