Last year I decided to create my own Christmas tradition by taking a self portrait wherever I am on Christmas Eve. This year I was able to spend Christmas eve with my family at home on the farm. We all played parts in making it a great night: Dad found a tree in the woods (no decorations, though), Laura made us a wonderful Christmas dinner (the real MVP), which Hunter, John and I gladly ate (at least we contributed), and Mimi shared stories of me as a fat baby (of which there are many). All-in-all it was a wonderful time.
So much has happened in the past year, more than I ever expected. And I don't know what this next year will hold. But tonight has been Merry and Bright. And for that I am thankful.
Wishing you and yours a happy holiday,
