Florence Prints

On Sale

Florence Prints Now On Sale

Grant Schol August 21, 2019

I’m finally doing that the thing! After months of work (and mostly procrastination), I’ve finally put up some Florence images for sale.

Of the images I’ve selected, some were taken when I was a student in Florence back in 2012 and others I took while I lived for a time in Italy. I chose to pick images from both of those times in my life to show that people, places, things, emotions … all have a way of leaving our lives but reentering them again in the most unexpected ways. And no matter where we find ourselves at any given moment, we are meant to be there: fully present and engaged.

Each of the photos chosen have a deep, personal connection to me. I remember moments by the photograph. And alternatively, the photograph by the moment. For me, they are interchangeable. I can remember exactly what I was doing, what I was thinking, who I was with, who I wasn’t with… as it turns out, all of these images posted below were taken when I was alone. I guess that says something to the creative process and solitude. While I created them alone, I do not want to enjoy them alone. I invite you to step into my solitude and share my memories with me.

If you choose to purchase one of these images, thank you. I am sharing a bit of inner-self with you — we are connected.

If you don’t see a photo that you’re interested in now, don’t worry! I will release more for sale in the coming weeks and months.

It’s hard to believe it’s been a year since I flew to Arkansas for “just two weeks.” Thinking back on who I was last March I can’t help but call myself naive. Naive to think the world would only shut down for two weeks,

“The Farm was my playground: the creek was my counselor, the trees my confidants, the sky an endless vessel of my imagination. Out in the pastures and just around the curve in the trail, out of sight from the house, my imagination ran wild.&rdq
